This is a selection of some of the latest tweets about Kim Dotcom's fledgling Internet Party, and allegations of spying. The tweets below are in (rough) reverse chronically order – the most recent tweets are first. More will be added. [Read more below]
Dotcom worker tells @whaleoil he tells Glucina, PM reads Herald and rings Whale then clobbers @winstonpeters. No spies. Just gossip.
BREAKING: John Key to present the 2014 Canon Media Award Trotie for Best Blog
Every Friday afternoon he sits down and sends textses to blogsters.
Jordan McCluskey @JordanMcCluskey
The Prime Minister regularly talks to the editor of the country's number one blog. I am shocked, shocked and appalled. Oh wait.
@toby_etc @JordanMcCluskey Does he regularly talk with the editor of the Dom Post? The Herald? Any other media? I very much doubt it.
> Jordan McCluskey @JordanMcCluskey
@LewSOS @dpfdpf @toby_etc Parties all have their aligned blogs. They talk to them. People are surprised that the PM talks to WO. Hilarious
@JordanMcCluskey Don't be silly. You reckon David Cameron regularly talks to Guido? @LewSOS @dpfdpf
> Jordan McCluskey @JordanMcCluskey
@toby_etc @LewSOS @dpfdpf NZ has a far smaller, insular political class. David Cameron probably talks to the editor of Conservative Home.
@JordanMcCluskey @LewSOS @dpfdpf I've no doubt David Cameron talks regularly to Tim Montgomerie. He's roughly = DPF. Guido, roughly = Whale
@toby_etc @JordanMcCluskey @LewSOS I'm more Iain Dale.
National works with WO "Crazy conspiracy lol" Ede's phone pic? "outsde work hours, geez" PM just admitted it. "Well duh. No big deal"
Mind you, It looks as though Key should have used the term "blogglehead" in that interview last year.
Blogsters or BLEURGH-sters?
"lots of blogsters"- how many? OIA could confirm if PM operates on One, Two, Many, Lots.
I wonder which other 'blogsters' Key likes to call up for gossip. I'm looking at you @BenUffindell
> Ben Uffindell @BenUffindell
@ClintVSmith I'm waiting by my phone with a box of tissues. Every day.
Anne Tolley calls me, occasionally, to ask me what I'm wearing. But then she hangs up.
Jarrod Gilbert @JarrodGilbertNZ
Somebody should remind the prime minister that if he lies down with dogs he's likely to get fleas.
John Key says he talks to loads of blogsters, which are like bloggers but whack people & hang out in pool halls.
Key confirms he has regular discussions with Dotcom smear campaigner Slater about me. Leaking Crown Law & #GCSB info?http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/9723130/Looks-like-Slater-is-Keys-Peters-source …
Dotcom has a point: If Whaleoil is blabbing to Key, what is Key blabbing to Whaleoil?
The PM said of his source earlier in the week, "I was pretty sure they'd be right because they often are".
I thought the link between 9th floor & that dungeon of a website was established after the Press Gallery smokes&saussies fiasco. News now?
Code nearly broken. G---- Cameron Slater B----.
John Key told journalists he speaks to "lots of blogsters". http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11202362&ref=rss&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter …
One of the questions confronting contemporary media is whether a blogster should be grated the privileges of a knucklehead.
Blogster sounds like the concatenation of Blogger and Pollster. There’s more than one of those?
Just a little reminder: I said I can work with anybody. Key said "No-Hope-Party", "Political Joke", "Would never work with them", "Idiot".
Judge the #InternetParty after we've released policies & candidates. Anyone trashing it now is doing a disservice to democracy. #BeFair
Key's friend Slater called a kid who died in a tragic car crash "feral" & coz they had unusual names he made jokes about babies that died :(
You shall judge a man by his foes as well as by his friends.
So, both Key & Collins are friends of Whaleoil? Slater is their Dotcom smear machine? They found the right ally. Compatible characters :-)
What is the significance that a blogger and 'gossip columnist' are getting more reliable information on MPs dealings with KDC than others?
Wonder how the prime minister's reported chumminess with Cam Slater will go down in the West Coast.
Jessica Williams @mizjwilliams
So the PM just more or less admitted @Whaleoil was his source on Winston Peters' visit to the Dotcom mansion. They speak regularly.
Politics in NZ in 2014 is essentially boiling down to watching Cameron Slater and Kim Dotcom wrestle in mud. #twotribes
Not a fan of @RachelGlucinaNZ but her reporting on the goings on behind the walls of KDC Mansion has been first rate
Welcome to the start of the most exciting & disruptive election year in New Zealand history. Let's kick some ass :-) #InternetParty
Winston Peters is an honorable man. Even when the media bombarded him he did not breach our verbal agreement to keep meetings confidential.
Theory: Key says he has “people” who told him about Winston’s visits because he doesn’t want to say he read it in Rachel Glucina’s column.
Grant Robertson @grantrobertson1
So, it might be random to see someone visit @KimDotcom once but to be able to say it was 3 times- that is planned. So who was it John Key?
Alison Sammes @LittleCatDesign
Any reason why we all seem to care about who dotcom mets or where? Can we go back to education policies? Or even clothing prices?
So Peters changed his position from being critical of Dotcom's immigration - to being a champion of Dotcom rights? http://bit.ly/1eR6RoW
I presume Key's sudden interest in others' association with Dotcom is preparation for something involving Dotcom and Key blowing up?
Winston Peters @winstonpeters
I met Kim Dotcom three times in the last two years. I've asked the PM to explain how he knew about the meetings. http://nzfirst.org.nz/news/three-dotcom-meetings-how-did-key-know …
Peters spent 10 minutes yesterday furiously refusing to say whether he'd been to Dotcom mansion - one tweet from KDC and his cover's blown
Farrar’s implication that even asking questions about the Dotcom case is suspect is really quite disgraceful. http://www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2014/02/kims_little_helpers.html …
If Winston visited the Dotcom mansion to lay down guest raps on Good Times we deserve to know, and also know whether these will be released.
Kim Dotcom as the defining political issue of 2014? What a national embarrassment that would be.
Grant Robertson @grantrobertson1
Time for John Key to explain how he "knows" how many times MPs have visited Kim Dotcom. Who is his source?
It's like The Crucible up in here. "I saw Russel Norman with the Dotcom!" "I saw @metiria's jacket with the Dotcom!"
