All 4 of us who headed Mana's 2011 list know we've been surveilled by SIS; Govt shld release the 88 names, apologise
Martyn Bradbury @CitizenBomber
I love Keys nonchalance, just shrugging at the obviousness of turning the GCSB on NZers because the SIS & cops dont have their own spy base
If you seriously think the #Urewera4, originally the #Urewera18, aren't among the 85 NZers surveilled by the #GCSB, you'll believe anything.
GCSB Intercepts @GCSBIntercepts
"Tell the knuckleheads that of course we believe in the rule of law. We rule and that includes the law."
What's the bet those 55 kiwis spied upon were mostly Nicky Hager? #GCSB

Top tip for govt agencies: break laws until you get more powers. #GCSB

Key is about to allow the Eye of Mordor that is the GCSB to legally spy on domestic targets and citizens. We are all @KimDotcom today
Martyn Bradbury @CitizenBomber
So Keys response to illegal spying by GCSB - as it was when cops were caught illegally spying - is to just pass legislation to make it legal
Typical bloody NZ Government. A Gov't agency has been acting illegally for years. No charges laid. Instead change the Law to allow it. #grr
Dear politicians, No law that legalises spying on New Zealanders, doubly so while you can't secure a simple email system. #gcsb

Given GCSB cant seem to lawfully manage the powers it has now, why is the response to extend them?
If claim is GCSB thought they could use other agencies' surveillance powers, that doesn't match what they told the cops in Dotcom papers.

So if there were no arrests or prosecutions from GCSB's illegal spying, why were they doing it?
I fear that the GCSB ("Mastery of Cyberspace") are currently running about in panic trying to find IT guy to post report on their "website"
Just read @avancenz story on GCSB. Suspect Bruce Ferguson was smoking dak while his department ran amok.
