A majority of the population believes that the underclass has grown under the current Labour Government - 60% say it has grown under Labour, compared to 23% who think it has stayed the same, and only 9% think it has improved. This is the result of a TV One opinion poll of 1000 people.
Many people think Labour and National do not have the solutions to solving the problem: 45% think Labour did not have the right policies, and 47% did not think National had the right policies either.
An overwhelming 80% of NZ think there is an underclass problem - which hopefully should put an end to Labour's 'underclass denying'.
